This year we entered 2 teams in the Under 11 competition. Both teams took part in seperate blitzes in Littleton. Our A team won their first 3 games against Cashel, Tipperary and Gaelscoil Durlas. The final game was a cracking contest with Templemore, who won by 2 points. However both teams still qualified for the next blitz which will take place in Templemore on June 2nd.

Our B team, lead by captain Sean O Meara played against Templemore, Tipperary, Scoil Ailbhe and Cashel. They too won all but one ot their games and can now look forward to a County Final appearance in Semple Stadium on June 14th or 15th.

This year our Under 13 team were drawn in a group with Gaelscoil Durlas, Loughmore and Upperchurch. Our first game was against Loughmore in Castleiney and we hurled brilliantly to prevail by a single point. Kieran kearney was our top scorer with 2 second half goals. Our next game against Gaelscoil, however, saw us slip up as we lost out by 2 points. We had a good win over Upperchurch in our final game, where Max Hackett scored 1-1. This meant that 3 teams were level in the group but thanks to a favourable draw we progressed to a quarter final meeting with our neighbours, Moycarkey. On the day, despite a brave second half comeback lead by captain, John Cussen’s inspirational score we were defeated by one point. This ended our participation in the competition so best of luck to Moycarkey in their next game. Well done to all our hurlers who togged out for Scoil Mochaomhog Naofa over the course of the  four games.
